Bosco Scholarship Fund

To our friends:

Over the last 40 years, Dr. John R. Bosco has epitomized excellent pediatric care. He has been a steady, ever-present influence in the lives of his patients and in the greater Rochester pediatric community.

Dr. Bosco has been witness to amazing changes in our health care system. As a 25 year member of the Knights of Columbus, a past President of Monroe Plan for Medical Care, a past President of the Rochester Pediatric Society and a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at The University of Rochester Golisano Children's Hospital, Dr. Bosco has provided significant leadership in this community. In an era that saw us go from $5 office visits to almost 100 health insurance companies, Dr. Bosco has been a steady, caring, thoughtful advocate of children both as individuals and as the future of our society.

In order to recognize this great man's achievements and to continue his legacy, we have established a scholarship to reward a deserving West Irondequoit High School senior who wishes to pursue a career in a health sciences field. Each year, a student would be so honored at Irondequoit's spring awards program with a $500 stipend.

We are asking for your help. We have established an account to get started but we would like your aid in funding this scholarship. Please make your checks out to the Bosco Scholarship Fund.

Any amount you can donate would be appreciated and would ensure that some deserving student gets a head start towards a future in health service.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Roderick G. Davis, M.D., FAAP
Michael J. Holmes, M.D., Ph.D., FAAP
